Canberra International Music Festival

18th annual Festival will be held over 10 days from May 11 – 20 2012.

 
Experience exceptional music performed in many of Canberra’s iconic architectural spaces, including the National Gallery of Australia, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Museum of Australia, the High Court of Australia, the Australian War Memorial, Albert Hall and much more.  Choose from over 30 concerts of classical, contemporary and jazz featuring national and international artists including the Wallfisch Band, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, the New Zealand String Quartet, the Song Company, Osmosis and composer in residence Peteris Vasks.
 
May is Canberra’s most beautiful time of the year.  Enjoy inspired music combined with a visit to some of our award winning wineries and restaurants or wander through the latest exhibitions at our national institutions.  A wonderful way to spend 10 days or perhaps just a long weekend!
 
The Festival will be launched early in March 2012 and the full program will be available on our website shortly after. 
 
Tickets will also be available from Canberra Ticketing from 9 March.  Tickets for individual concerts are priced from $35 - $65.  Or you can purchase a weekend pass (8 concerts) for $290.  Concession tickets covers Pro Musica members, full time students, Government Healthcare and Pension cardholders and Senior's cardholders. Friends or members of the National Institutions qualify for the Concession price for performances in that particular institution.
 
Gold Passes ($590.00), provides entry, priority seating for all festival concerts and an invitation to a special Gold Pass and event can be purchased from the Festival office:
